2012 Schedule

Session One - Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm

TableGMGamePlayers (6-8)GM's Notes:
1#2351Squad LeaderOne of the smash hits of the golden age of wargaming, Squad Leader began a tactical WW2 phenomenon still going strong with its 'Advanced' successor. But sometimes it's fun to go back to the original and revisit what started it all. The GM will bring everything needed for 6 players, paired off to play classic scenarios like 'The Streets of Stalingrad' or 'Hill 621'. Rules taught, or memories jogged, as needed. Max. 6 players.

Panel - Saturday 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Gary Gygax & TSREd Greenwood and Frank Mentzer

Session Two - Saturday 3:00pm to 7:00pm

TableGMGamePlayers (6-8)GM's Notes:
1#2351Magic RealmRichard Hamblen's (in)famous fantasy board game, the one that had scientists writing in to complain they couldn't make heads or tails of the rules. Since its release in 1979, the labours of talented fans have made this complex system more accessible. Rules (3rd Ed.) taught if needed, though it wouldn't hurt to peruse "Magic Realm In Plain English" (easily found online). Choose one of sixteen unique characters, then explore a fantastic landscape and fight fearsome monsters (and maybe your fellow players) in a quest for Fame, Gold, and the ability to brag, "Yeah, I've played Magic Realm."
1#8429Classic TravellerHundreds of years ago an alien civilization on the planet Chamax was obliterated leaving only desert. Last week a team of archaeologists studying this 'Chamax Plague' went silent. Today the happy-go-lucky crew of the merchant ship Mudshark volunteered to investigate. What could possibly go wrong? We will be using the original Traveller core rules only (books 1, 2 and 3). Pregenerated characters will be supplied. No prior experience necessary. The short adventure The Chamax Plague was published in 1981.

Session Three - Sunday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

TableGMGamePlayers (6-8)GM's Notes:
1#2351RuneQuestHahlgrim's War - The Invasion of Dorastor: The year is 1623 and Bolthor Brighteyes, King of the Talastari, has ordered his champion Hahlgrim Ironsword to lead a host of Orlanthi tribesmen into the foul land of Dorastor to strike a blow against its inhuman ruler and his Chaos hordes. On the surface, this seems a useful command. Raids from Dorastor have been increasing, straining the surrounding lands and their inhabitants: a successful expedition would disrupt and weaken these raiders. And yet, Bolthor's crafty nature and jealousy of Hahlgrim cause some to wonder whether the king has more than one objective here... This is an epic, high-power scenario, perfect for players tired of playing teenagers fighting rubble runners just outside their home village. Characters provided, as the PCs are Hahlgrim himself, plus Ketil Kingslayer, Oddi the Keen, and Paulis Longvale (along with plenty of NPC support). The time to harry Dorastor is at hand; are you heroic enough to enter the Land of Doom? Max. 4 players.

Session Four - Sunday 2:00pm to 6:00pm
